Derek R. Jackson
¡Hola!
My name is Derek R. Jackson, and I am a candidate to receive a Masters of Arts degree in Foreign Language Teaching (MAFLT) from Michigan State University (MSU). This website serves as my culminating project featuring various artifacts of my learning. I received my BA in Spanish from Adrian College in 2014 with a K12 teacher certification in Spanish (FF) and secondary certification in English (BA). Currently, I am a Spanish teacher at Columbia Central High School in Brooklyn, MI, USA. I teach Spanish I - IV for 8th grade through 12th grade students. Additionally, I am an adjunct faculty member at Adrian College where I teach Spanish I and II to undergraduate students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Sarah, and rescue pitbull, Gideon. Recently, we traveled to the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador with some students and plan to continue to travel with students for years to come! Saludos, ~Derek |
